Emily Martin is an EMDR-trained therapist who specializes in treatment of emotional trauma and PTSD. With her nonjudgemental, supportive, and caring style, Emily has helped individuals find safety and healing as they reframe their negative beliefs into positive ones, and process deep emotions that have been suppressed or avoided. Many of Emily’s clients have come seeking help managing anxiety, depression, grief, or relationship conflict. Some have more complicated challenges such as bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, complex PTSD, and borderline personality disorder. Emily uses evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Clients who have worked with Emily have reported feeling more hopeful and have made positive changes in their lives.
Emily sees adults, adolescents, and families as well as leading DBT groups. She is working under the supervision of Trent Peterson, CMHC.
